The Hodeidah Girls Foundation has implemented many trainings for women’s institutions and groups in many governorates: Taiz, Aden, Abyan, Hadhramaut, Socotra, and Marib, as follows:
Awareness workshop on UN Resolution 1325 and the Peace Agenda
The Women's Development Foundation in Shabwa implemented an awareness workshop on UN Resolution 1325 and the Women's Agenda for Peace. The workshop targeted 8 participants. The central issues were discussed and views and personal experiences were exchanged in the field of implementing UN Resolution 1325 and enhancing the role of women in peace and security. The challenges facing the implementation of the resolution and ways to overcome them were also discussed, in addition to exchanging ideas and initiatives to enhance women's work in this field. Awareness workshop on Resolution 1325 on the occasion of International Women's Day
Together We Rise Foundation, in partnership with Wujoud Foundation for Human Security, implemented an awareness workshop to raise awareness of the content of Resolution 1325; During the workshop, the objectives of the resolution and its importance in promoting gender justice and enhancing the role of women in promoting peace and security were discussed. Detailed information was provided about the constraints and challenges facing the implementation of the resolution and highlighting the practical steps that can be taken to achieve it. Implement podcast episodes that focus on women's issues
Implementation of the Taa Marbouta podcast, which is a series of episodes that focus on women's issues and reflect their reality. Four podcast episodes were recorded and broadcast on community radio stations across Hadhramaut. Each episode discussed a specific issue and the episodes targeted the following topics: Stories of violations against women at work and explaining Yemeni labor laws and laws to protect women. Resolution 1325 and its complementary mechanisms and talking about adapting the women and peace agenda to the local character. Gender stories about models of activists from Hadhramaut and their influence in society. Talking about the agreement to end all forms of violence and discrimination against women and explaining international days for women and combating forms of violence. Date: March 2024
Implementation of a training course for trainers for the Horizons Forum team and civil society organizations
Implementation of a workshop to prepare trainers for the Forum team and civil society organizations on climate change and climate justice. During the workshop, ten male and female trainers were prepared on climate change and confronting its effects. The aim of the workshop is to train ten male and female trainers who have received the training of trainers. In order to enhance their capacity to train many women in local communities within the scope and place of work of their organizations. These trainers have the means through the training projects implemented by their organizations to reach many women in local communities; and through the training, the trainers have the ability to raise the awareness of many women about climate change and its effects, as well as the importance of disseminating and developing innovative solutions to mitigate these effects.
